show oneself: ~인 것처럼 행동하다, ~임을 보이다

distinctly: 뚜렷하게

   : 실무의 재능이 있기로 세계적으로 유명한 사람들

set out: 출발하다

- He achieved the things he had set out to do.

    : 그는 자신이 시작한 일들을 모두 완수했다.

- Police set out in search of the criminal.

    : 경찰은 그 범인을 찾아 나섰다.

dusk: 황혼 / 땅거미

- The streets were red in the dusk.

   : 길거리는 저녁 어스름에 붉었다.

be in the habit of~ :~의 습관이 있다

- He is in the habit of going for a walk in the morning.

   : 그는 언제나 아침 산책을 한다.

utter: 완전한

-  Both of them were so shook up they couldn't utter a word.

    : 둘 모두 목이 메어 아무 말도 하지 못했다.

- His sudden death threw the whole house into utter confusion.

   : 그의 갑작스러운 죽음으로 온 집안이 난리가 났다.
